'Apologies if the price goes up': Police take unique approach over haul of cannabis plants

It's always good to see a police team with a sense of humour.

And that certainly includes the Warsop Neighbourhood Policing Team, if their latest Facebook post is anything to go by.

After finding 190 cannabis plants at an address in Warsop, the team took to social media today (Tuesday) to apologise if their haul meant an increase in prices locally.

They wrote: "The Warsop Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to apologise to the residents of Warsop and surrounding area if there is a sudden price increase in the cost of cannabis.

"This is due to 190-plus cannabis plants being located at an address in Warsop today.

"If the owner of the plants wishes to claim them please get in contact with us."

They added: "Drugs ruin lives, if anyone has any information please contact us on 101."

So far the post has had more than 175 comments.

"Fantastic job. Keep up the great work," said Keith.

"Well done. Good job," said Krystle.

Others were slightly less generous, though.

"Yes, because this was the only supply in Nottinghamshire...calm down CSI Miami, you've found a few flowers," said Tony.
