Apollo Theatre gig listing shows how many amazing acts played iconic Glasgow venue

We've all heard about the Apollo Theatre and the status it held within the city as Glasgow's original music mecca - and one that served as a balcony-shaking benchmark for other similar-sized venues across the world back in the day.

From opening its doors on 5 September 1973 until its closure on 16 June 1985, the likes of The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath took to the vertigo-inducing stage to wow the assembled Glasgow crowds.

Least year we reported how one week in particular served to highlight the sheer amount of great bands that played the venue, with Kraftwerk, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash and Paul McCartney and Wings performing almost one night after another.

And now a poster for the winter 1975 list of gigs has been doing the rounds on Twitter to again illustrate what must have been a difficult decision for folk to pick what gigs they were going to go see back in the day since they were all good!

Shared by Twitter user Vinny M, the programme from October through to New Year lists upcoming visits by the likes of The Dubliners, Roxy Music (performing three nights on the bounce), Fairport Convention, Sparks and The Temptations.

As well as Lynrd Skynyrd, Queen (performing over two nights), The Carpenters, Super Tramp, Uriah Heep and Glasgow's own The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (at their absolute zenith) doing their Christmas run of shows.

Since the programme was posted yesterday, it has been liked over 1,000 times, with loads of fans responding to the question posed by Vinny M stating: "You can only go to one gig. What one..?"

Responses have included: That's quite a ride- Lena Zavaroni, The Temptations, Callum Kennedy, Queen & Alex Harvey... all for a £5. My mind is blown..."

As well as: "Impossible choice. Stuck between the Four Tops, Tammy Wynette and Roxy Music."

And: "Oh golly this is hard. The Temptations. I'm tempted."

They are spot on, it's so hard to decide!
