Even with fairly limited content that is available in the beta of the game, players of Apocrypha can actually progress their characters quite a bit. If you are just starting out in Apocrypha, this guide will tell you everything you need to do to progress along and get stronger.
Apocrypha Beginner's Guide
When you launch the game and finish up creating your character, you will spawn on the Flying Airship. Think of it as the Lobby of Apocrypha. This is where you access the different game modes, buy and sell items to earn Lunari (the main currency of Apocrypha), meet various NPCs, and learn new skills/abilities. The first thing you want to do is complete the tutorial dungeon by talking to Nero.

Nero is standing behind the ship’s wheel. Talk to him, and he will teleport you to the Sunken Bastille, where you have to complete the tutorial and acquire your first weapon and piece of armor. Once you are done, escape the Sunken Bastille and get back to the Flying Airship.
Now, go to the Captain’s Quarters through the door behind the Captain NPC and open the various chests inside to collect Lunari and other valuable items. Also, talk to Fenwick to complete a short quest and obtain your first spell book.

Once you have collected some Lunari, go to the rear end of the Flying Airship and interact with Beowulf to buy weapons and other items.
After that, you want to unlock Arena Battles by talking to the Ronan NPC and defeating him in a 1v1 battle. Defeating him will give you access to the Arena, where you can participate in 1v1, 2v2, and free-for-all battles against other players. With all these things done, you can now play all the game modes in the game and start progressing your skills and abilities.
How To Progress in Apocrypha
Right now, there are two game modes in Apocrypha- Arena (1v1, 2v2, free-for-all) and Battle Royale. The open-world mode will be added to the game soon. But, until then, players have to grind in these two game modes for progression in Apocrypha.
Play Arena Matches

To obtain new classes and their skills/abilities in Apocrypha, you need to bring the Class Artifacts to the Noir NPC. He will teach you a new class, depending on the artifact you bring to him. You get artifacts by opening Lockboxes, which can be purchased from the same NPC in exchange for Arena Vouchers.
Apart from learning new classes, you can also enchant your weapons, acquire armor, and learn spells by opening these Lockboxes, so they are extremely useful to farm.
Play Battle Royales

You can explore two more locations in Apocrypha, which will possibly be the open-world maps once the game gets its full release. For that, you need Emblems that you get by winning Battle Royale.
When you have enough Emblems, go to the Giles NPC inside the Captain’s Quarter, and he will give you the option of teleporting to the following three locations:
- Empyrean Embassy - A trading area for players to sell or buy items using Lunari and Robux. (Free)
- Test Environment: An open area for players to test out different skills and weapons. (requires 5 Emblems)
- Old World: An open-world map that players can explore. (requires 2 Emblems)
You can also obtain Royal Tokens by farming kills in Battle Royales. Royal Tokens are similar to Arena Vouchers and can be used to buy different items at the Noir NPC.
That’s all the content that players have access to in Apocrypha at the moment. Progression is all about learning and mastering new classes and enchanting weapons to make them stronger so you can win more Arena matches and Battle Royales.
