A dramatic video of the aftermath of a “suspicious” blaze in Speedwell which saw homes evacuated has been shared.
Crews from Weston-super-Mare posted the aerial footage taken while on a turntable ladder on Twitter.
Scenes captured on the video resemble something out of an apocalypse film, with smoke still rising from the charred remains of buildings and cars.
The blaze, which could be seen for miles across the city after it erupted at around 6pm on May 3, has devastated businesses and buildings in the Strachan and Henshaw complex.
Fire crews remained at the scene for three days, having fought the blaze for more than 60 hours.

The building contained multiple businesses and one person with a unit in the building, who wished to remain anonymous, said she has been left "devastated" by the fire.
Firefighters battled through the night to bring the fire under control while police officers wearing gas masks set up cordons around the area. Nearby homes had to be evacuated, with people sent to a local church.

Officers reduced the size of the cordon around the Foundry Lane site on May 8.
But detectives warned it could be ‘some time’ before the emergency service response operation is over, because they can’t physically access the building to even begin the long process of working out how the blaze started.
