Since its release Apex Legends has become a titan in the battle royale scene garnering millions of players.
Due to its popularity on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, EA has now confirmed that the game is coming to mobile devices very soon.
Respawn confirmed that Apex Legends Mobile will be available on iOS and Android next week - this won't be a worldwide release and will be locked to certain regions.
On February 28, the game will be available to play in Australia, New Zealand, Signapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia.
While a European or UK release has not been confirmed yet, it is safe to assume that it will be released before the end of 2022 once the developers have set up and optimised servers.
What will the gameplay be like?
Like many mobile games based on more advanced console titles, Apex Legends Mobile's gameplay experience will not be as advanced as the console version.
While the essential core experience of Apex Legends is there, it has had to be reduced somewhat to fit with the lower specs of mobile devices.
This means that the game's graphics will be nowhere near as on par with console versions and early test versions don't seem that pleasing to the eye - although, there is still the possibility that more powerful phones will be able to push out better graphics from the game.
Can I carry over my progress from console to mobile?
While no details have been given over cross-progression, it is likely that an individual's account on Apex Legends Mobile will have a separate progression to the console version.
Similar to Call of Duty: Mobile, Apex Legends Mobile will likely have its own battle pass and season system.
Further evidence to support this includes the fact that a completely different developer is working on Apex Legends Mobile and will be in charge of its in-game systems somewhat independently.
