Respawn Entertainment has released new gameplay footage for Apex Legends' upcoming season, Emergence.
The key focus of the trailer is Seer, the new legend announced at EA Play Live last week.
The two-and-a-half minute trailer hints that there'll be major map changes as World's Edge becomes 'decimated' alongside a new battle pass which, as always, will have some season exclusive goodies that players can work towards grabbing.
A new weapon was also teased in the trailer, an LMG called Rampage which will be added to the short list of LMGs already in the game- currently, there are only two, the Spitfire and the Devotion.
Emergence will be Apex Legends' tenth season since the game debuted in February 2019 and new content is still being added to the game.
An arena mode was added last season and Respawn is doubling down on the concept by adding a ranked mode and new maps to Apex Arena.
Some POIs (Points of interest) will be added and changed in the World's Edge map including:
- Climatizer : The Refinery has been wiped out by lava and replaced by Climatizer, a bigger area than the Refinery was. Respawn has stated this change was made to attract more people to the northern region of WWorld's Edge.
- Fissure Extension : World's Edge has fractured all the way from the Climatizer to Fragment East. The new crack doesn't have a usual updraft, players will be able to traverse like lava while taking damage from the surface.
- Gondolas : Moving gondolas will be added Climatizer and Lava Siphon as a safe way to traverse the lava and create new combat opportunities.
- Lava Siphon : Sorting Factory has been swallowed by lava and replaced with Lava Siphon.
- Landslide : Train Yard has been demolished and replaced with the barren Landslide.
- Skybox changes and Climate Change: A colder colour scheme replaces the warm neutral sky.
