Apartments burglarized in Bronzeville: police

Four apartments were burglarized recently in Bronzeville on the South Side. | Getty Images

Chicago police are warning residents of four recent burglaries in Bronzeville on the South Side.

In each incident someone forced open the door to an apartment and stole property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 1 a.m. May 17 and 1 a.m. May 24 in the 100 block of East 37th Street;
  • Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. May 26 in the 4200 block of South Wabash Avenue;
  • Between 11 p.m. May 31 and 2 a.m. June 1 in the 4500 block of South Indiana Avenue; and
  • Between 4 p.m. June 2 and 3 p.m. June 3 in the 4200 block of South State Street.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chicago police at 312-747-8380.
