'Aouar swap deal!' - Arsenal fans say the same thing about reported plan for Matteo Guendouzi

Arsenal supporters have taken to social media after reports of midfielder Matteo Guendouzi training alone and being likely to be sold this summer.

The Athletic are reporting that the Gunners are keen to move on the Frenchman, who has not made a single matchday squad under head coach Mikel Arteta since the incident at Brighton and Hove Albion last month.

Furthermore, the report claims that the club will meet with his representatives in the coming days.

Mikel Arteta on Champions League hopes

The midfielder expressed his discontent with Seagulls striker Neal Maupay at the full-time whistle for his role in Bernd Leno's injury, though he did not receive retrospective action from the FA.

However, Guendouzi has not escaped in-house punishment, as the aforementioned report also states that he has been cut from first-team training sessions.

In addition, Guendouzi is said to have been called to a meeting with Arteta and technical director Edu, and it did not go particularly well.

The Spanish tactician is said to be disappointed with the lack of apology and his lack of willingness to change his behaviour.

And with many at the Emirates Stadium feeling he has now had enough chances and a summer exit seems likely.

The latest claim of Guendouzi being sold this summer has garnered a strong reaction from many Arsenal supporters.

Many Arsenal fans are on board with the decision and have urged Raul Sanllehi and Edu to offer Guendouzi in exchange for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

One person who agrees with Arteta's stance is goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

"You're in or you're out, you're with him or without him, and there's no discussion on that," he said. "We know that if we want to play and we want to be at this football club, we have to be on board.

"That's good for the team because no one can relax. If you relax, you don't train properly or you don't perform like he wants you to, you're out.

"You have to follow him and that's what we're trying to do now."
