"America Online says it has blocked the Bizex worm, which began spreading through its ICQ instant messaging service earlier this week. Bizex, which was first made public by Moscow-based security firm Kaspersky Labs -- which said that as many as 50,000 machines had been infected -- enticed ICQ users to surf to a link to the malicious jokeworld.biz site. Once at the site, users' machines were infected by the worm, which then spread by sending replica messages to contacts hijacked from ICQ," reports TechWeb.
