Aoibhin Garrihy admits newborn is a 'joy' while eldest daughter is a 'live-wire' during lockdown

Former Fair City star and entrepreneur Aoibhin Garrihy has spoken out about how her newborn baby girl is a 'joy' during lockdown whereas her older daughter is a 'live-wire'

Garrihy appeared on the RTÉ series Marty in the Shed where she spoke about her family life in lockdown.

She also mentioned her business BEO, admitting although she's technically on maternity leave, she never really got a true maternity leave as she runs her business herself.

She said: "When you work for yourself you don't really get maternity leave but I'm still unofficially on maternity leave at the moment and I should be just chilling out going for coffee but that's not happening.

"The newborn Liobhan, she's a joy and Hanorah is a live wire.

"She's going to be two in June and she's just great fun new words every day and of course the grandparents are checking in on Facetime every day."

The actress sat in her car while chatting to Marty on the show, explaining it's hard for her to get peace and quiet anywhere else.

She said: "Anytime I need to get a little bit of work done I retreat to my car because I don't get a minutes peace inside the house its a disaster.

"Two under two its a juggling act so we tag-team. John books in the morning sessions he goes out to the car then I get the car for the afternoon.

"Look it we're all improvising."

She also spoke a little bit about her business and her husband's hotel while on the show.

"We're all involved in business as you know John is in the hotel sector and I have a health and wellness business, Beo.

"We were due to have a series of events at the moment we were meant to be in our spring series of events so of course, that had to be postponed.

"And the hotel is now empty and its the first time I have ever seen it that way.

"It's a trying time when you're in business of course it is and the only consolation is that everyone is in it together."
