Anzac Day in Canberra in photos

Canberrans have remembered Anzac Day very differently to other years.

They stood at the end of their driveways, carrying candles to symbolically light the dawn.

The traditional national service went ahead at the Australian War Memorial, with Prime Minister Scott Morrison and a handful of other officials present.

Australians were urged to remember war veterans and all servicemen and women who are forced to commemorate Anzac day alone because of the impacts of the global coronavirus pandemic.
