'Anything to stop Liverpool winning Champions League' - David Beckham turns up at Tottenham's training ground

Liverpool fans have reacted to the news David Beckham paid a visit to Tottenham's training ground.

The ex-Manchester United player was pictured at the Enfield complex on Wednesday.

And with Jurgen Klopp's side set to face Spurs in next month's Champions League final showdown in Madrid, Reds' supporters were annoyed with the former midfielder's Instagram post.

The former England captain started his career with Tottenham's youth team before making the move north.

And having won the trophy in 1999 with Manchester United, Beckham was said to be providing stars like Harry Kane with some inspiration.

In a post on Instagram Beckham shared a selfie with Spurs' Argentinian boss Mauricio Pochettino .

The caption read: "Great to spend the morning with Mauricio today...

"Thank you for welcoming me and showing me around the amazing training complex... What a gentleman..."

Reds' supporters quickly reacted to the image.

Irish golfer Shane Lowry weighed in on the conversation as he commented: "Anything to stop Liverpool winning the Champions League!"

A year ago, Beckham warmed up for the Champions League final by paying a visit to his former club Real Madrid.

Having lost 3-1 in Kiev, Liverpool fans will be hoping the Englishman cozying up to their opponents will not have any effect on this year's outcome.
