Antwain Fowler's struggle since birth as tragic TikTok star dies from rare disease

He was the hilarious little lad who kept thousands of people entertained after becoming a viral sensation.

Antwain Fowler will always be remembered as the cheeky boy behind 'Where we about to eat at?' - and knowing how to attract a giggle.

But while we always saw the silly and playful six-year-old beaming away in clips and photographs, he was usually smiling through his pain.

The boy is understood to have died of complications from his autoimmune disease after his heartbroken mother Chyna announced his death on his Instagram profile on Sunday.

He passed away after a brave battle which saw him spend much of his tragically short life in hospital. But the rare condition didn't stop him melting hearts.

The NHS say the disorders occur when the body mistakenly attacks itself rather than an invader such as a bacteria or a virus.

Antwain was diagnosed with autoimmune enteropathy in 2015, just months after his birth but his family were stunned by his incredible reaction to the illness.

Although the internet knew him as the fun-loving child that he was, he often needed medical care.

He underwent no fewer than 25 different surgeries - a huge test for someone so young, and of course his family, who were there every step of the way.

He was unable to drink milk, or eat solid foods during for most of his life.

Many saw the lad as an inspiration with his mum often uploading updates from his hospital bed.

She had hoped a recent procedure called intravenous immune globulin - done to help him gain muscle - would provoke a recovery.

But she announced the tragic news in an Instagram post on Sunday night.

"The pain in my heart is like no other. Why God," the post read. "Never in a million years. My heart is out my chest."

The GoFundMe page that has raised more than $54,000 for his battle with illness told more about the condition.

It read: "The first four years of Antwain's life was an everlasting fight, and very crucial experience for his family. Through unlimited prayers, faith, and doctors working around the clock Antwain is progressively healing; and truly grateful for all that he's accomplished thus far."

The family have yet to confirm the exact cause of the young star's death.
