Antrim Rd service station robbed at knife point leaving shop workers traumatised

Two shop workers have been left traumatised after a man wielding a knife robbed a Belfast service station.

During the incident on Friday night the staff tried to flee the shop but the robber grabbed one of them by the wrist.

Now PSNI detectives are appealing for witnesses following the service station robbery on Antrim Road around 10pm on August 14.

Detective Sergeant Natalie Moore said: "A man, armed with a knife entered the premises and demanded a member of staff to open the cash till. 

"Both staff members tried to leave the premises,but the suspect grabbed one of them by the arm leaving red marks to her wrist. 

"They later managed to get away leaving the suspect in the store and stole a sum of cash before leaving.

"Both members of staff have been left extremely traumatised by their ordeal."
