Antrim Coast Road reopened following earlier collision

The Coast Road has reopened between Larne and Glenarm after an earlier road traffic collision.

The crash on the Co Antrim road involved one vehicle, and was reported to police at 1.05pm.

There are no reports of any serious injuries and no fire service appliances were at the scene of the crash.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across all of NI's six counties.

The Met Office caution will remain in place until 9pm on Sunday.

Forecasters have warned of possible "damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes".

They also say "there is a good chance driving conditions will be affected" as a result of the expected conditions.

"Heavy rain and thunderstorms causing some flooding and disruption in a few places," they added.

Standing water on roads and possibly hail may also cause issues with "flooding of a few homes and businesses possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures".
