Antony Gormley's sculptural explorations of bodies and the built environment

ENCORE! © FRANCE 24

His haunting human figures have peered from the tops of buildings around the world. Antony Gormley’s sculptures have fascinated those who stumble upon them, and charmed the thousands who flock to his exhibitions since his 1994 Turner Prize win. The British artist has now turned his attention to the architectural space that we live in, with a collection of new work at the Thaddeus Ropac gallery in Paris. He tells us about working with the elements, be it steel or water, and why an unexpected collaboration with K-pop band BTS gave him hope for the future of contemporary art.
