Antonio Rudiger has already given his verdict on Sergio Aguero to Chelsea transfer

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has already given his approval for the signing of Sergio Aguero.

Aguero is on his way out of Manchester City after 10 years this summer, recently confirming he will seek a new challenge when his contract expires this summer.

"As for myself, I will continue to give it my utmost for the rest of the season to win more titles and bring more joy to the fans," the Argentine said as part of a statement.

"Them a new stage with new challenges will begin, and I am fully ready to face them with the same passion and professionalism that I have always dedicated to continue competing at the highest level."

According to MailOnline, Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign Aguero, despite interest from the likes of Barcelona ahead of this summer.

And if Chelsea do indeed land the 32-year-old, they already appear to have the seal of approval from defender Rudiger, a player head coach Thomas Tuchel clearly trusts with the centre-back getting plenty of play time since his fellow countryman's arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking about Aguero in an interview with Sky Sports earlier this season, Rudiger said: "He’s been here for ages in the Premier League. His gravity is very low, he’s kind of a beast, he’s strong. and he’s one of those strikers that don’t need to touch the ball that often to score."

According to the MailOnline report, Aguero would prefer to stay in the Premier League this summer, despite likely interest from La Liga, where he previously played with Atletico Madrid.

Aguero has racked up 271 league appearances for Manchester City so far, scoring 181 times, and it's likely he will win his fifth Premier League title with the Citizens before he departs this summer.
