Rudiger, Kante and Loftus-Cheek - Latest Chelsea team news and expected XI vs Man United

Chelsea face Manchester United in arguably their biggest game of the season on Sunday afternoon.

With just three games to go, qualification to next season's Champions League is in the Blues' hands and if they can get maximum points then they will be playing in the top tier of European football once again.

However, United are still also in the race for the top four and are coming off the back of difficult defeats to Everton and Manchester City in the past week and will be keen to put things right.

Maurizio Sarri explains Manchester United's slump in form ahead of Chelsea clash

Chelsea's away form has been abysmal so far, with four defeats meaning that another loss would be the clean sweep for the season.

With that said, the Blues should be boosted by the return on Antonio Rudiger.

"Rudiger is okay for the moment. We are trying to recover Kante, but I am not sure at the moment. The operation of Callum went in the right way," Sarri said.

"I think that he will be back here in one or two days. He'll need time now, but Callum is a very strong young man. Very strong physically, and very strong mentally. I'm sure he'll be able to come back better than before."

While Sarri expressed some concern for N'Golo Kante's form, it is expected that the Frenchman should be okay to take part in the game at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Sarri will make a decision over whether or not Eden Hazard will play in the false nine once again, like he did against Liverpool, in an attempt to be more defensively sound.

While Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be hoping to keep his good form going on the left of the three in midfield.

Expected Chelsea XI: Kepa, Emerson, Luiz, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro, Willian, Hazard.
