Lanzini, Antonio, Fredericks - Latest West Ham injury news and potential return dates

West Ham will be without midfielder Manuel Lanzini for up to a month after he picked up a foot injury while on international duty with Argentina.

Football.London understands that he has suffered bone bruising and played through the pain barrier in the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa last week but it came at a cost as has since been ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Pablo Fornals came into the team to replace the injured Argentine and is expected to carry on to deputise for him while Lanzini is on the sidelines recovering from the injury.

Ryan Fredericks was substituted off during the 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday with what looked like a knock but it is not thought to be serious. He would have sat out Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash against Oxford anyway and will be assessed ahead of the trip to Bournemouth this weekend.

Those still definitely out alongside Lanzini are Winston Reid and Michail Antonio though with Reid, there is a chance he could play for the Hammers U23s in their PL2 match against Cheltenham Town this week as he continues his comeback from two knee operations which started by him playing three pre-season friendlies.

Antonio meanwhile underwent surgery on a hamstring injury nearly three weeks ago and it was a success so now he can begin his recovery. The winger has returned to the gym at Rush Green for some light work but is not expected to be match fit for some time yet.
