Oliver Skipp will miss Tottenham's home match with Leeds United after the international break through suspension.
The Spurs midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 92nd minute of their goalless draw with Everton on Sunday afternoon in Antonio Conte 's first Premier League match in charge of the north London club.
Skipp has been virtually an ever-present figure at Tottenham this season under Nuno Espirito Santo and it now seems he will also be part of Conte's plans.
However, the Spurs boss will be without the 21-year-old for their first match after the international break against Leeds after accumulating five yellows.
Skipp has been brilliant for Tottenham so far this season and has looked assured in the centre of midfield, with consistent performances in his 10 Premier League appearances.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp heaped praise on Skipp last month for adding some stability in the middle of the pitch for his team.
He said on Sky Sports: "I think the manager (Nuno) took a lot of stick against Arsenal, the balance in the midfield was wrong, tactically he got it wrong, I think bringing Skipp in has made a difference.
"What he does so well is he keeps it simple, he passes it well and he keeps the space where he can see if there is a breakdown.
"He went to Norwich a boy on loan, did so well, now you can see he has come back as a man, he looks the part in there."
Skipp played the full game as Tottenham were held to a draw with Everton, despite some pressure from the visitors at the end at Goodison Park.
Giovani Lo Celso came closest to scoring, with the Argentina international smashing the ball against the post in the latter stages on Merseyside, before Mason Holgate was sent off for the hosts in stoppage time.
Spurs are now ninth in the Premier League table following the point, with Conte now having the chance to work with those not on international duty in this short break that is upon us.
