Antonio Conte set for Inter Milan showdown talks after Europa League loss

Antonio Conte will hold showdown talks with Inter Milan on Tuesday with the former Chelsea boss set for another bitter divorce.

The ex-Italy coach refused to commit his future to the club after losing the Europa League final on Friday.

Inter Milan have already lined up Max Allegri as a replacement but want Conte, 51, to resign rather than pay compensation for the remaining two years on his contract.

The ex-Italy boss took Chelsea to court and won £9m after his Stamford Bridge sacking in 2018.

Conte publically berated the Inter board after his side finished second in Serie A.

And after losing 3-2 to Sevilla he said: “If you think I will step back, I won’t.

"I said what I think, you heard my words and they have not changed. Regardless of everything, it was a positive experience and I thank those who gave me this opportunity.”

Conte clashed with Ever Banega during Friday's final with the Sevilla midfielder running his hands through the Italian's hair and allegedly saying: “Let me see if that wig is real.”
