Antonio Conte's latest words are worrying Tottenham fans as the scale of his task is revealed

Antonio Conte's latest comments have concerned Tottenham Hotspur fans following Sunday's Premier League defeat to Wolves.

Spurs conceded twice within 15 minutes against Bruno Lage's side and despite the Italian making changes, the north London outfit slipped to their third consecutive Premier League defeat.

After the game Conte warned the Tottenham fans that they needed to be patient.

"In my opinion, compare the past and compare the season when this team reached the final of the Champions League, a lot of things have changed," he said.

"Now in this moment we have to be realistic and we have to be together. Also with our fans. Our fans have to understand that maybe you need to have patience to wait to rebuild again the situation they were used to in the past.

"Now the situation has changed but not only with me, in three months and a half. It was the same with the other coaches in the past.

"If we have patience and we want to work. This is the situation.

"We are working very hard with the players, with the players there is a great commitment but it is not enough. It is not enough. It is not enough.

"I repeat that if we want to be competitive, we have to wait and build. Step by step, step by step. It is important to be realistic and speak very clearly.

"I like to do this and this is not the first time I am telling you the same things. This is not the first time."

For the Spurs fans, there is the concern that Conte has not been shown to have patience at clubs in the past and that could mean he will head off in the near future.

Our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discussed that and plenty more in the latest episode of the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast.
