Antonio Conte reveals the one thing Tottenham must improve after Brentford win

It was a good night for Tottenham as they finally put the embarrassing defeat to NS Mura in the Europa Conference League to the back of their minds.

A whole week had passed since that defeat, with the weekend's game against Burnley called off due to the adverse weather conditions at Turf Moor, meaning Antonio Conte and his team had more time to dwell on the European result.

The postponement also gave Conte more time with his players, and it seemed to pay off, with Spurs picking up a 2-0 win over Brentford to move up into sixth place in the Premier League.

The result leaves them just two points off the top four, with that game in hand over their rivals - not bad for a side who have sacked a manager already in this campaign.

The second goal against the Bees showed Tottenham at their free-flowing, counter-attacking, marauding best, with Harry Kane playing Sergio Reguilon into acres of space down the left, before the defender laid the ball on a plate for Son Heung-min to tap home.

Conte was delighted, but he did open up on the one area of Tottenham's play they must improve on moving forward - working with the ball in tight spaces.

Conte said in his post-match press conference: "When we have space, in this case, I think this team is very good because in front we have players with quality but at the same time, fast players. Very good at exploiting the space.

"At the other end, we have to try to improve when we don’t find the space to move the ball better, to find the right solution, because during the training session, we’ll have a session to find the right solution in both situations.

"With space and without space, this team has the characteristics to exploit this situation. Without space, we have to improve, but for the second goal our players showed great quality and Harry made a fantastic play to send Sergio and then Sergio made a fantastic ball for Son."
