Antonio Conte has stated that he will try to have a meeting at the club in the coming days about the upcoming January transfer window.
A busy summer for Tottenham with some experienced players heading out of the door and some fresh faces coming in as part of a much-needed rebuild, it's clear to see that Fabio Paratici and Spurs have plenty more left to do in the transfer market.
The Lilywhites do need to look at strengthening up front with Harry Kane the only experienced out-and-out striker in N17 at present, while a new creative midfielder and potentially a new centre-back are other areas that need addressing.
Only arriving at the club at the start of November, January will be the first time that the 52-year-old will be able to really stamp his mark on the Tottenham squad.
Although other things have taken priority recently following the Covid outbreak that has seen their last three games postponed, Conte has admitted that he wants to try and have a meeting to see if there's a way to improve the squad.
"But in this moment we’re not thinking about the transfer window," he said in his pre-match press conference when asked if he's spoken to Paratici and Daniel Levy about the transfer window.
"We’ve had many, many problems to face and try to solve. It was very difficult to speak about other topics.
"For sure, in the next days we’ll try to have a meeting to speak about the situation and see if there’s a way to improve the squad and in which way.
"In this moment, I’m making an evaluation about the whole squad. Covid will be a good opportunity for someone to show me they deserve to continue to play for Tottenham."
