Antonio Conte has found the next Kevin De Bruyne to complete Tottenham's dream midfield lineup

Tottenham have been linked with a move for attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere in the January transfer market as Antonio Conte looks to shape his squad going forward.

According to Calciomercato, Conte is hoping to make a move for the youngster in the winter to avoid competition for him in the market, with AC Milan another side linked with weighing up a potential deal.

The 20-year-old is versatile and can play anywhere across the front three and behind the striker, already racking up 90 appearances in all competitions for Club Brugge.

With the Belgian club, he has already earned a place in the side as a regular, making appearances against some of Europe’s top clubs in the Champions League from just 18 years old.

This season in particular has seen an improvement in his output in goals, shots and chances, albeit from a smaller sample size than previous seasons.

Such is the promise of De Ketelaere, he earned a first international appearance for the Belgium senior squad in November 2020.

He has since been in and out of selection, but recently earned a place back in the side, making his most recent appearance last month against Italy in the third-placed playoff of the UEFA Nations League.

The forward has won two Belgian League titles and a Belgian Super Cup in his time with the first team and he could represent a cheaper option to Dusan Vlahovic for the Spurs hierarchy.

Transfermarkt currently value the 20-year-old at £22.5million, whilst the site values Vlahovic at £45million with reports claiming that Fiorentina are holding out for more than that to let the striker leave in the near future.

Time will tell if the transfer goes through or not, but any move could represent the first of many potential transfers in the new Antonio Conte era in North London.
