Antonio Conte has £35million Tottenham Transfer Deadline Day plan in mind after West Ham draw

Here is your football.london special Tottenham digest on Thursday, September 1.

Antonio Conte's £35m Transfer Deadline Day plan

The Lilywhites aren't expected to be too active on the incoming front on Transfer Deadline Day, unlike their London counterparts Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, one deal that could be on the cards is Leeds' Dan James as talks continue and will go right to the wire for the £17million rated winger.

Conte sees the Welshmen as a wing-back option, and the arrival of the former Manchester United flop could spell the end of Lucas Moura's time in north London with Aston Villa planning an eleventh-hour move on Deadline Day for the Brazilian.

Lucas Moura's absence for West Ham draw explained

One key sign that Moura was on his way out was his absence from the squad that took to the field at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.

Despite strong Villa rumours, Conte put his status down to a slight injury concern that led to the Italian not wanting to risk the 30-year-old with a further injury, potentially ruining any transfer exit for Tottenham's number 27.

"About Lucas, he has this inflammation in his tendon. I hope to recover him very soon, because for sure when I was a player, I had a lot of pain in my tendon. You know that tendon inflammation doesn't finish in only one week or two weeks," he said.

"I hope to have him early with us. About Gil... Gil is not still available, but in 2-3 days, he will start to work and recover."

Yves Bissouma

Handed his full Spurs debut with Rodrigo Bentancur missing out on the squad and was left walking a tightrope from 20 minutes onwards after receiving a booking for throwing the ball down. He was far from his best and did struggle in the game. Tomas Soucek ran off the back of him for the equaliser. 5

Ivan Perisic

He put in a good cross that saw Tottenham awarded a penalty, only for it then to be overturned following a check—impressed with some really clever pieces of play, including crossing and taking on and beating his man, as he demonstrated why Antonio Conte was desperate to sign him. Did switch off for the equaliser as his back was turned for the throw, but he was very good on the whole. 7

Dejan Kulusevski

At the heart of a superb counter as he teamed up with Harry Kane for the opener as Thilo Kehrer put the ball into his own net. He always looked like a threat every time he was on the ball. He made way for Richarlison in the final 15 minutes. 7
