Antonio Conte gifts Tottenham with Chelsea's title winning diet that John Terry approves

Brutal but honest. Antonio Conte, a man who demands the absolute most from his players.

Antonio Conte has switched things up in his newly inherited team. The infamous diet plan reshaped Romelu Lukaku and his career and also helped John Terry in getting in the best shape of his life.

There's no doubt that the plans that Conte has for his side will shape up the team for the better. Harry Kane may be able to learn a thing or two from Lukaku's U-turn which could send him back into the race for the Golden Boot.

Bringing out the best in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente in his time at Juventus as well as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, it's all but certain that this special diet is the mixer for success.

The Athletic reported that Antonio Conte has been far from impressed with the fitness of the Tottenham players. He has made some adjustments to their diet plan, a similar tweak to what he did whilst at Chelsea.

He has immediately cut out condiments including mayonnaise and ketchup which sounds all too reminiscent of the sacrifices that Chelsea 16/17 title-winning side had to undertake.

Working with over 10 different managers during his time at Chelsea, John Terry has opened up about his fitness under Conte.

“Under Antonio, it was the fittest I have ever been,” Terry wrote on Twitter when replying to an article about Conte

“Training was tough and the sacrifices are a must.”

Despite only making nine league appearances under Conte, he claimed that this was the fittest he's been which spoke to the benefits of Conte's training and dieting plan. Terry was 36 years of age before he left the Blues in 2017. After all those years in the professional game, to still feel fit and healthy enough to compete at that age, Conte's regime must have been next level.

It's funny because the former Italian boss gave Chelsea fans an insight into his diet choices during his time with us.

"Before the preseason we explained that we wanted only the right balance when eating, with carbohydrate, protein, and fat," Conte explained.

"Not to prevent or ban something, only to explain the right balance between these things.

"At the end of my career I started to eat very well, and I felt the benefit of this. For this reason, when I started my new career as a coach, I wanted to bring this idea to my players. I think it's a good solution because you don't ban anything -- you just want the right balance to eat carbohydrates, protein, and fat.

"It's important because it can also prevent injuries. You recover very quickly, you're more fresh in the mental aspect. I think this because I tried it myself."

The proof is in the pudding. In his title-winning season with Chelsea, the Blues rarely suffered from injury. The only major injury being Cesc Fabregas who had pulled a quad strain early in the season.

This diet could do wonders for a Harry Kane or Tanguy Ndombele considering their recent run of injuries.

It's all fun and games when fans disregard Conte as being one of Chelsea's best managers under the Roman Abramovich era, but one thing we cannot deny is that his regime works. A healthier sustainable routine helped Chelsea in their pursuit of a Premier League title.

Whether the players were frustrated with his other methods or not is a question that is up for debate.
