Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, November 18.
Conte wants Juventus star
According to Italian news publication Calciomercato, Weston McKennie has emerged as a target for new Tottenham boss Antonio Conte.
Conte has been the manager of Spurs for less than a month, but the Italian coach is already looking to make the squad his own and is reportedly looking at the Serie A as a place for new additions in north London.
McKennie, 23, only moved to Juventus in the summer on a permanent deal from Schalke, but Tottenham are said to be following the USA international and believe they can get him for around €35million (£29m).
Bergwijn boost
This international break could not have gone too much better for Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn.
Bergwijn initially missed out on the Netherlands squad, but was eventually called up by Louis van Gaal - and the winger repaid his manager's faith in him despite not starting the first game.
The Tottenham star did start the second match, though, and turned out to be one of the heroes for Holland by opening the scoring in the dying embers of their 2-0 win over Norway on Tuesday evening.
With Spurs facing Leeds United at the weekend, the form of Bergwijn has given Conte a huge boost.
Romero replacement
Cristian Romero limped off for Argentina in their clash with Brazil on Tuesday evening and that has now made him a doubt for Tottenham's clash with Leeds at the weekend, but Conte already knows the ideal replacement.
The 24-year-old defender was only on the pitch for 53 minutes and looked to be clutching his hamstring before leaving the pitch.
However, Japhet Tanganga, who has worked alongside Conte over the past week while others have been away representing their countries, could come in for Romero and act as an ideal replacement for the injured Argentina international, especially if the Tottenham boss wants to again operate with overlapping central defenders.
