Antonio Conte delivers honest verdict on Harry Kane as Tottenham's most iconic away kit revealed

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Monday, December 27.

Conte admission

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte admitted he was happy for Harry Kane after the England captain matched Robbie Fowler's Premier League goal record for goals on Boxing Day after breaking the deadlock against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, the ninth time he has found the back of the net on December 26.

“All the team have to be pleased,” Conte told talkSPORT. “I’m happy for Harry (Kane), Son (Heung-Min) and Lucas (Moura) but they know very well but that it’s the important work of the whole team and I’m happy.

“For sure our strikers scoring is important but we created many chances to improve our final score.

“We must be happy until midnight, then we must start focussing on Southampton.”

Crouch verdict

Tottenham icon Peter Crouch had his say on the incident that saw Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha sent off against Spurs.

Speaking on BT Sport, he said: "It is reckless you could say he [Sanchez] went down a bit easy on the first one but it’s just stupid you just shouldn’t get involved the first one and the second one.

"I just think he’s the type of player who wants to be involved in these types of confrontations. I don’t know if you remember the game at White Hart Lane, he got involved with Tanganga and from then on he played better and raised his game.

"He needs that kind of fire but he’s just gone too far and steps over the line on this occasion."

Kit vote

Tottenham supporters have voted the 1991-93 yellow kit as the club’s most iconic away strip.

As proud partners of Shelter’s #NoHomeKit, we asked the Lillywhites' faithful to have their say on the club’s most famous away jerseys, with one clear winner running away with the vote.

The 1991-93 Holsten Umbro kit garnered considerable support, receiving a whopping 46% of the vote.

It is easy to see why fans love the iconic strip, with the north Londoners reaching the FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals during their time wearing it, as well as the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners’ Cup.
