Antonio Brown skips meeting with media after Patriots’ win

Antonio Brown had been slated to speak to the media for the first time as a New England Patriot following the team’s Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins. However, Brown left the locker room before reporters arrived. His lack of availability in Week 2 makes him eligible for punishment from the NFL.

Brown finished the game with four receptions on eight targets for 56 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came in the second quarter when Brown and quarterback Tom Brady linked up for 20 yards on a back-shoulder pass. They had some chemistry and communication problems in the second half, when Brady had four consecutive incompletions in Brown’s direction.

Following the Patriots’ 43-0 win, Bill Belichick was asked about Brown’s ability to get acclimated.

“We’re making progress. Certainly not there yet,” Belichick said during a press conference at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

Brown’s solid debut came after a week when the Patriots praised the receiver’s work on the practice field. However, Brown’s arrival has been checked by the allegations of sexual assault and rape.
