Antonio Brown’s classy message for Steelers fans after trade

Antonio Brown spent the last few months publicly angling for a trade and making it clear that he had no desire to continue playing for the Steelers, but he maintained throughout his messy breakup with the team that he was grateful for the years of support from Pittsburgh fans.

After arriving in Oakland, Brown bid farewell to his fans in Pittsburgh – the ones who weren’t busy destroying his jerseys – with a simple message on a digital billboard: “Thank you Pittsburgh.”

Brown also addressed Steelers fans in his introductory Raiders press conference.

Via NBC Sports:

“Those guys gave me a chance when I was a 21-year-old kid. Obviously, people are listening to the things that are being said and written. At the end of the day, it’s all about how you make people feel. I think I made people feel good and great, really inspired, the way they watched me work, the way they watched me play. I know Steeler Nation is having a bad day today, but it’s always love.”

Upon his arrival in the Bay Area, Brown paid a visit to new quarterback Derek Carr and delivered some highlight reel footage in his new colors on Madden NFL 19.
