Antonio Brown’s agent confirms the Eagles were in the mix to acquire the WR

During the entire Antonio Brown sweepstakes, the Eagles were relatively quiet in regards to their interest in acquiring the embattled wide receiver. Now thanks to some revealing audio from the Boomer Experience Podcast, it appears that the Philadelphia Eagles had more interest in Antonio Brown then the aforementioned Le’Veon Bell.

While appearing on the Boomer Experience, Brown shared audio of a trade conversation he had with his agent Drew Rosenhaus. During the conversation, it was revealed that the Patriots, Eagles, Titans, Bills, and Raiders were the teams most involved.

In the audio, you clearly hear Brown make it known that Buffalo was not an option, while it also reveals that Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick, was even involved in the conversations.

The release of the audio coincides with Brown subtweeting the Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, who hours before, had praised Ben Roethlisberger in a Twitter post.

For Howie Roseman’s part, it appears he played his hand well, with Drew Rosenhaus hinting at the Eagles possibly having to part with two first-round picks to acquire Brown. In the end, things probably worked out best.
