Antonio Brown on whether he’s talked to Robert Kraft: ‘Not yet’

Antonio Brown and Robert Kraft weren’t far from each other this weekend. They both attended the All-Star Game on Sunday night. But during the game, they hadn’t chatted.

Brown, who requested a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, has been actively working toward getting to another NFL team, which is why he might have connected with the New England Patriots owner on Sunday.

“Not yet,” Brown told ESPN. “I’m just excited by any team who shows interest. I’m excited by the commitment to play football. Whatever team gives me an opportunity, they’ll be excited about it.”

Brown would seem like a strong candidate to drive trade interest from the Patriots, who are never afraid to make a blockbuster if there’s good value. The problem is that the Patriots are the last team that the Steelers would want to give a star receiver. The AFC rivals are unlikely to do anything to help each other. So as Brown appeals to NFL teams for a trade, he may know he’s unlikely to end up with the Patriots.
