Antonio Brown mocked Pittsburgh over its huge ‘Hard Knocks’ TV ratings

Antonio Brown and the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t exactly part ways on good terms last season. And for the most part, Brown’s start with the Oakland Raiders hasn’t been smooth sailing either.

And guess what: Pittsburgh Steelers fans can’t look away.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Pittsburgh market television ratings for Tuesday’s episode of Hard Knocks, which heavily featured Brown’s drama with his helmet, more than tripled the national average. The Steelers may have moved on from Brown, but their fans certainly wanted to watch — or hoped to see — mayhem unfold with the Raiders at the fault of Brown.

Well, Brown caught word of the Pittsburgh TV ratings. He responded by mocking Pittsburgh for still thinking of him.

I mean, there’s no way Steelers fans can deny that. The numbers don’t lie.

Outside of Pittsburgh, though, there wasn’t increased interest in the Raiders’ third episode. Via NBC Sports:

The nationwide viewership for the third episode “was almost identical” to last year’s third episode featuring the Browns, with 776,000 premiere-night viewers.

The Steelers and Raiders don’t play each other this season, so any hopes of an awkward reunion will have to wait until the playoffs or future seasons.
