Antonio Brown has filed a second helmet grievance against the NFL, report says

Antonio Brown showed up to the last day of Raiders training camp Monday morning, presumably putting to bed the unrest that had surrounded him over the last several weeks.

But that presumption was apparently wrong.

Brown filed a second grievance against the NFL Monday seeking to be allowed to wear his preferred Schutt Air Advantage helmet, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. His initial grievance was denied early last week. It's not immediately clear how this filing differs from that one.

The Raiders wideout prefers his brand of helmet and believes it allows him better vision than the alternatives provided by the team.

Brown's helmet is more than 10 years old and thus cannot be certified as safe by the National Operating Committee on Standards of Athletic Equipment.

Monday morning, Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus said on ESPN's Get Up morning show that he and Brown were seeking a "permanent solution" to the helmet issue, and this grievance seems to be the manifestation of that solution from Brown's perspective.

Whether the league will agree with him when it hasn't in the past remains to be seen.
