Antonio Brown calls out ESPN’s Ryan Clark: ‘Stop mentioning my name’

Former Steelers teammates Ryan Clark and Antonio Brown have a long history, and Clark was one of the most vocal critics of Brown during the Steelers’ chaotic finish to the regular season. In January, after Clark argued that the Steelers couldn’t afford to keep Brown on the roster for team chemistry reasons, Brown called Clark an “Uncle Tom” on Instagram. Clark responded by doubling-down on his take, claiming that Brown had blatantly disrespected his coach and teammates.

A strange new chapter in the Brown-Clark beef unfolded Thursday on Twitter, when Brown took offense to Clark referencing his spat with Brown in response to a Twitter user.

The exchange wasn’t exactly a good look for Brown, who threatened another ESPN reporter last September and later apologized. Brown backpedaled later Thursday afternoon, claiming that his message to Clark was from “305 Tony,” rather than “AB.”

Brown then tweeted some ironic advice to his followers, encouraging people to not let themselves get provoked by negativity.
