Antoine Griezmann sends Karamoko Dembele shout-out as Celtic star responds to £100m Barcelona striker

Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann has saluted rising Celtic star Karamoko Dembele after the playmaker's first senior goal for the Hoops.

The 17-year-old netted the equaliser in the 3-1 win over Hibs as the Hoops put the finishing touches on their pre-season ahead of Sunday's league opener against Hamilton.

Dembele looked razor-sharp on a rain-soaked day at Parkhead as his quick feet caused Jack Ross' side from the first minute to last.

And that form has been recognised by the French World Cup winner who was quick to respond to the post-match reaction.

Dembele posted on Instagram: "Good to end pre season with a win and a goal."

And that led Barcelona 's Griezmann to simply respond with the sunglasses and fire emoji.

The England youth international responded with a hand shake emoji as supporters hailed the blossoming friendship.

Dembele enjoys a profile across European football thanks to grabbing headlines after making his Celtic academy debut as a 13-year-old.

And a Nike advert in 2018 only added to the intrigue with highlights of his flashy skills earning millions of views on Youtube.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has raved about the player's abilities and was handed several opportunities under the Irishman last season and featured regularly this summer.
