Antoine Griezmann's Barcelona shirt number announced amid claims he'd 'steal' Coutinho's

Barcelona have confirmed Antoine Griezmann has been handed the No.17 shirt.

The France World Cup winner completed his £107m move from Atletico Madrid on Friday.

It was immediately suggested he would take the No.7 shirt he wears for club and country from Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian's future is unclear and losing his number to Griezmann appeared the biggest indicator that he will leave the club.

But Griezmann was presented to Barcelona fans on Sunday and presented with the No.17 shirt by Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The Frenchman agreed a five-year deal with the La Liga champions and is now set to join up with his new teammates for the start of pre-season.

Coutinho's agent meanwhile has confirmed that he expects to stay at the Nou Camp this summer.

He has attracted interest from Manchester United and PSG this summer while recent reports suggested Liverpool were considering re-signing him.

But Kia Joorabchian insists Barcelona have told Coutinho he remains part of their plans.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Joorabchian said: "I was told they have no intention of selling him, that Barcelona have not spoken to anyone and that stories to the contrary are simply not true.

"I will not let people talk about Philippe and put him down because for one-and-a-half years we have said nothing.

"I won't let them do that and all of us in Philippe's camp will not let that happen because Barcelona have told us he is staying."
