Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has reportedly told the club that he wants to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano next season.
Griezmann, whose release clause drops to £100million in the summer, had been expected to take a pay cut in order to seal a move to Barcelona at the end of the current campaign.
However, the Catalan giants' vice-president Jordi Mestre has insisted that the club "won’t throw around crazy money" to sign any player.
And in a blow to Manchester United , who were also tracking Griezmann, AS have reported that the World Cup winner has performed a dramatic U-turn and told Atletico chiefs that he wants to remain in Madrid.

The Frenchman is said to be keen to play in a front-three alongside Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata next term, while the club has provided assurances that they will sign the defenders and midfielders required to let that trio shine.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to refresh his own front-three and is keen to sign a winger in the off-season.
However, it looks as though Griezmann will be out of reach for the Old Trafford club.
