Anto Breslin confirms Bohemians departure as he's set to move cross-city to St Patrick's Athletic

Anto Breslin has parted company with Bohemians after two years as he looks set to become Tim Clancy's first acquisition at St Patrick's Athletic.

The Dubliner is set to make the move across the Liffey following a successful spell with the Gypsies that ends with an FAI Cup final defeat to the Athletic last month.

Left-back Breslin joined Bohs ahead of the 2020 season after impressing in a season-long stint with Longford Town in the First Division and helped Keith Long's side to a second-place league finish.

The former Wolves trainee, who had a spell on trial with Shamrock Rovers before joinng Longord, has impressed domestically and in Europe this season.

He started three and came on as a sub in one of Bohs' Europa Conference League qualifiers in the summer.

The 24-year-old found his gametime limited this season by the arrival of Tyriek Weight and was an unused sub in the FAI Cup final.

"Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff fans and volunteers at @bfcdublin for the last two years I enjoyed every minute," Breslin said on Twitter.

"This year the memories we made in Europe and the atmosphere in dalymount [sic] for the cup semi final will live with me forever."
