Antiques Roadshow expert Rupert Maas was in tears as he shared the worth of a sailing boat that was featured in the movie Swallows and Amazons.
The movie came out in 1970 and the expert ended up meeting up with a man who had acquired the boat.
He became overwhelmed with emotion as he explained why it had a huge impact on him.
Rupert said: “I’m sitting on a boat and not just any boat but the boat from Swallows and Amazons movie released in 1974 which I saw aged 14.
“It’s fair to say it got me into sailing just watching the romantic lives of these children in this wonderful summer."
“It never seemed to rain, the sun was always out and it was filmed and shot here. One of these islands could have been the one they spent the night on," he continued.

The guest was asked how he came across the sailboat, to which he said that the boat was stored in a boatyard on the Thames and "35 years later, they decided to downsize and move so all the boats they were storing came up for auction."
The author of the novel, Arthur Ransome, apparently heard the news and a few people thought it would be a great idea to buy Swallow.
He added: “So, my colleague Magnus started crowdfunding basically and there were about 85 of us who chipped in to buy her.

“The group of us paid £5,500 or just under and our objective is to keep her in the public domain to take people out sailing.
“I like to think she was made in about 1930 when the book was published. So that would be a nice coincidence.”
Rupert explained that there are many vintage boats similar to Swallow which would cost around £2-3,000.

However, the fact it was the boat from the film ups the worth to an eye-watering £20-30,000.
The guest couldn't believe the high worth of the boat and said: "That's incredible!"
