A couple who appeared on Antiques Roadshow were left speechless as their second-hand wedding present tripled in value on the show.
The BBC show visited Stoner Park in Oxfordshire, where expert Joanna Hardy was tasked with evaluating a stunning yellow diamond pendant, originally bought for £500 and later valued at £1,500.
The striking piece of jewellery featured a floral pattern in the middle.
Joanna asked the man how they came across the pendant, to which he replied: "It was in 2013 in an antique shop at Woburn Abbey, and we'd gone that day and just happened to stumble across it.
"It was decided that it was then going to become a wedding present, as we were getting married a couple of years later."

"So what attracted you to it?" Joanna continued, as the guest replied: "The colour of the yellow."
Agreeing with his comment, the expert said: "Most people think that if diamonds are not white, then they're not so attractive, but you're absolutely right to see the beauty in these yellow diamonds."
She added: "So what you have on the reverse is a K and then 18 and that is a foreign mark. So that's implying that has been made in Europe and that's saying that it's 18 karats white gold."

Intrigued, the guest asked: "Do you know who might have made the pendant?"
"I think it might be Italian I'm just not sure," Joanna told them.
"It is really very, very special because of the yellow diamonds and may I ask how much did you pay for it?"
The couple shared how they splashed £500 on the necklace at the time.

"You paid £500 pounds for it in an antique shop in 2013?" Joanna clarified, as she was left shocked by the price-steal.
She continued: "I think you've done very actually that's well spotted because I would say at auction you would be looking more in the region of £1,500."

The guest's husband, who was gobsmacked, said: "Wow, really?" as his wife exclaimed: "Wow, fab!"
The couple appeared to be very impressed after the jewellery tripled in price following the valuation.
