Antiques Road Trip presenter Irita Marriott was in awe of the price of two ornate strawberry spoons.
Irita and her co-presenter, Mark Hill, continued their journey across the UK to discover what hidden treasures await in tucked-away stores. Their first stop today saw them arrive in Suffolk where an intricate pair of spoons caught the expert's attention.
Opening a cabinet to collect the items, Irita said: "These have just caught my eye." Admiring the sapphire handles and overall intricacies, she held up a pair of golden spoons with flattened bowls, one with a solid base and the other with cut-out stems.

Explaining what they were used for, she added: "Two different spoons, but why are they different? They were used as a set for eating strawberries.
"You would use the solid one to scoop the strawberries then you'd use the other to sift the sugar on top. If that's not posh then I don't know what is."
Looking at the price tag, she gasped and pulled a face to the camera but failed to reveal just how much they were going for. She added: "I'll pop them back down. I wanted to take them with me but we need to be sensible."
But all sense was thrown to the wind as she eventually caved in and went to the store's salesperson to make the purchase. Taking another item with her, an old-fashioned sugar cube holder, she asked how much her total would be. The items sat on top of the counter together but it was soon revealed the ornate spoons would cost a whopping £45, with the holder coming in at only £5.
She sealed the deal and paid £50 for the lot but not before thanking the salesman for the bundle and complimenting his unique store.
