An Antique's Roadshow owner has been wowed by the valuation he received for sculptures from a Liverpool artist.
Sunday's episode of the popular BBC programme took place at a beautiful 18th century manor in Warwickshire - and one guest brought two sculptures from renowned sculptor Arthur Dooley.
The owner said he inherited the works of art from his uncle who used used to go drinking in the local pubs with the Dingle born artist.

He said: "Over the years, he was a drinking buddy in the pub around the corner from the studio. Very often he went back to the studio and sold him the pieces directly."
Arthur Dooley was born in 1929 and worked as a welder at Cammell Laird shipyard in his teens to fund his artistic pursuits.
He was the creative force behind iconic pieces of art such as The Resurrection of Chris t statue on the side of the Metropolitan Methodist Centre on Princes Avenue in Toxteth - and expert Marc Allum described him as one of the most underrated artists of the 20th century.
He said: "He was a very interesting character who really is not well-known enough."
He continued: "We can immediately see the welding influence in his work. That for me epitomises his style because we've got a mixture of base, raw, welded techniques - with these beautiful sinuous forms that are attached to them."
The two pieces that were being sold were an unnamed piece from 1956 initialled A.D - and a piece from 1971 titled Bookies Runner.

The sculpture from 1956 was the expert's favourite and he valued this at £4,000 - £6,000.
The piece from the 70s was valued slightly lower at £3,000 - 5,000 - and the antique owner was wowed by the prices being quoted.
He said: "I was very surprised. I thought middle five hundred or so but not those valuations so I'm very glad I brought them today."
Expert Marc Allum concluded the piece by praising the creative brilliance of Arthur Dooley.
He said: "I think they're stunning pieces of work from an artist who needs to be better known."
Antique's Roadshow airs Sundays on BBC One at 9pm
