Anti-vaxxers try to storm BBC HQ in protest of vaccine passports, but got the wrong site

They are said to be demonstrating against jabs for children

Anti-vaccine advocates attempted to storm BBC News headquarters, outraged over “vaccine passports” and children’s vaccinations. One problem ... the protestors, allegedly led by anti-lockdown group “Official Voice,” congregated at a building comprised mostly of luxury apartments, wherein the BBC has not been located since 2013.

Several videos shared to social media broadcast the group attempting to force their way into the Television Centre building in West London, shouting “shame on you, shame on you,” accusing BBC of “not giving out the right information.” One demonstrator shouted that “they are coming for our f****** children,” likely in reference to children’s Covid vaccinations.

Television Centre was BBC News’ headquarters until 2013. It currently serves as a studio for for ITV daytime programs “Good Morning Britain,” Loose Women” and “Lorraine,” but is mostly made up of residential flats — and certainly not the BBC.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that they were “aware of a group of demonstrators who, having set off from Shepherds Bush Green shortly after 1pm, are now gathered outside commercial premises in Wood Lane, White City.”

“There have been no arrests but officers are in attendance and will continue to monitor the situation,” they continued.

People are appalled but can’t help laugh at the mishap, pointing out the hypocrisy of a group accusing a news network of misinformation when they couldn’t even get the BBC headquarters’ address correct.

Even Andrew Neil, chairman of The Spectator and GB news, took to Twitter to address the attempted protest.

“Anti-vaxxers protest BBC coverage of pandemic by storming a building in White City. A building the BBC vacated in 2013 and is now luxury flats. Is there a link between stupidity and anti-vax? Opinions vary but evidence is growing,” he wrote.
