Anti-social louts who caused the suspension of two popular Dublin Bus routes have been slammed for "attacking their whole community".
Routes 79 and 79A have been curtailed for the rest of the night, with neither service travelling through Cliften Road, Cherry Orchard or Spidall Park.
The suspension was put in place at 9pm and will remain in place until the last bus tonight.
Dublin Bus said: "We wish to advise customers that due to anti-social behaviour route 79 will operate to Cherry Orchard hospital and route 79a will operate via Cloverhill to Park West.
"Buses will not serve Cliften rd, Cherry Orchard Ave. or Spidall Park. In effect from 2100hrs to last bus Feb. 3rd.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Local councillor Daithi Doolan condemned those involved in the disturbance and said the curtailments could be particularly harsh on the elderly and vulnerable.
He said: This behaviour is an attack on the whole community particular the elderly & vulnerable. Those involved should seriously think about the damage that they are doing to Cherry Orchard.
