Anti-sexism campaign divides opinion in Australia

Anti-sexism campaign divides opinion in Australia

Australia's Discrimination Council has launched a campaign to fight casual sexism and male-dominated language in the workplace.

The campaign, fronted by former army chief and "Australian of the year" David Morrison proposes to ban the use of the apparently discriminatory term "hey guys" in Australian workplaces.

The campaign, and its promotional video advocating for sensitive, inclusive language in the workplace, has garnered a lot of attention in Australia, but it has gained more ridicule than support.

Al Jazeera's Andrew Thomas reports from Sydney.
