A politician wrote a letter to his local newspaper in southern Norway saying there should be a gay-free beach. Now he and the paper have both been accused of promoting discrimination on the basis of sexual preference. Police are investigating a formal complaint against the politician and the Farsunds Avis newspaper. The editor, Steinar Spjelkaviknes, wrote in response: "I was never in doubt that the letter should be printed. We must dare to print opinions we don't like." (Via Aftenposten - News in English)
