Anti-fascist football fans have backed Rangers star Glen Kamara over racist abuse claims.
Football Lads and Lasses Against Fascism has offered “full support and solidarity” to Kamara who insists he was racially abused by Ondrej Kudela during a crunch match against Slavia Prague.
The anti-racist group called on Scots players to take direct action by walking off the pitch and refusing to play if they suffer abuse and “racist poison”.
They also demanded UEFA take action against Slavia Prague over the disgusting scenes.
The news comes as Rangers take on Celtic today at Celtic Park.
In a statement, Football Lads and Lasses Against Fascism (FLAF) Scotland said they gave “full support and solidarity to Glen Kamara”. They said: “We also welcome the stance taken by his manager Steven Gerrard, who has condemned the vile racist abuse directed at the player.
“The explanation given by Ondřej Kúdela and what he claims to have said are bizarre. Why would he feel it necessary to cover his mouth other than to hide his intent and statement from public view?
“Following the match Slavia Prague supporters demonstrated with a disgusting racist banner that said ‘Kamara - just another n*gger’ The club have since distanced themselves from the actions of those fans but refused to acknowledge or apologise for Kudela’s actions.
“Only by first acknowledging the problem can Slavia Prague move on and eradicate the racist poison that exists in the dressing room and spills out onto the terraces.
“UEFA should take decisive action against Slavia Prague. We support players who take action themselves and leave the pitch forcing the postponement or cancellation of the fixture.
“FLAF is an anti racist and anti fascist group. We work with supporters groups across the country to challenge racism in football and campaign for a united working class.”
