Anthony Yarde launches his assault on the light-heavyweight division this evening, as he attempts to strip Sergey Kovalev of his WBO world title belt.
This will be Yarde’s first world title fight, after an impressive 94 per cent knockout ratio from 18 fights has propelled him to the top of the sport.

Yarde is taking the bold step of journeying to Russia to put his 100 per cent win record on the line against Kovalev, who has won 33 of his 37 fights.
Despite having only made his professional debut in 2015, the Londoner is not fazed by the prospect of facing Kovalev, 36.
He said: “Experience plays a part but how you perform on the night is what matters.”
Many in the boxing world will be surprised if Yarde comes home with the belt, including Andre Ward, who twice beat Kovalev to strip him of his world titles.
Ward claimed: “I'm not sure he’s fought the necessary guys to prepare him for Sergey Kovalev and I think Kovalev is going to stop him late.”
